CRANSTON, R.I. (WJAR) — Cranston police said Monday that a man was charged in the hit-and-run death of a woman whose body was found on Scituate Avenue.
Police said the woman was struck early Sunday morning in the breakdown lane and thrown about 42 feet. They said an Amazon employee found her.
“Despite life-saving efforts, the pedestrian was pronounced deceased on scene by the Cranston Fire Department at 4:23 a.m.,” police said in a release. “The victim has not yet been positively identified pending further investigation and notification of next of kin.”…
