TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A Lucas County Sheriff’s deputy accused of hitting a car and failing to stop has pleaded no contest to a reduced charge.
Court records show Deputy Mesha Brown pleaded no contest to a reduced charge of fictitious registration. She was court ordered to pay fines as well.
The sheriff’s office conducted an internal affairs investigation into the matter as she was charged with conduct unbecoming an officer and dishonesty. Officials say she was given an 80-hour suspension without pay. 40 hours will be served during the next pay period and the other 40 will be held over her head until 2028…
