WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Kansas Department for Children and Families said Monday that EBT card skimmers have been discovered in Sedgwick County.
The agency said five cloned EBT terminals were discovered in the Wichita area. Officials did not provide the locations where the skimmers were found.
The devices can attach to point-of-sale systems and ATMs and can allow hackers to gather account information and PINs. Last week, DCF sent out warnings after card skimmers were found in Kansas City, Kansas, and accounts were compromised.
