Trial begins for woman charged in deadly Portland dog mauling of 6-year-old boy

PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) – The trial began Monday for a woman charged in the death of a 6-year-old boy who was killed by two dogs at a Northeast Portland home more than a year ago.

Koko Miller, 56, faces charges of criminally negligent homicide, maintaining a dangerous dog and two counts of first-degree criminal mistreatment in connection with the attack that occurred on Dec. 5, 2023 at a home on Northeast 112th Avenue and Schuyler Street.
