The Huskies took another step to rebuild their defensive front on Monday by landing former Ohio State and Idaho State defensive end Logan George from the transfer portal. It’s a promising first edge signing from a Huskies program that has already added three defensive tackles.

George began his career as a preferred walk-on at Utah State in 2022, but didn’t play as a result of a mission trip. Instead, he transferred to the Big Sky Conference’s Idaho State before the 2023 season, where he’d play in 22 games across the next two seasons. He started every game for the Bengals in 2024, finishing with 56 tackles, six sacks, and a conference-best 18.5 tackles for loss.
George then entered the transfer portal, where he received a high three-star grade of 88.42 from Rivals (now part of On3). In Dec. 2024, he committed to the Buckeyes, despite being heavily recruited by Washington and a number of other schools.
