Summer Weather Hits Major City in Heart of Winter

Millions of Americans woke up to temperatures more commonly felt in June on Tuesday in the Pacific Northwest.

“The low temperature this morning in Seattle was 51 degrees…. ….which is totally normal for… …the 1st of June,” the National Weather Service (NWS) office in Seattle posted on X.

The warm Tuesday morning came as the NWS shared that most of the U.S. began this week “unseasonably warm.” The largest departure from average temperatures was felt in the Heartland, with some areas seeing temperatures as high as 30 degrees above normal for this time of year…
