Mid-Week Storm Bringing Snow To The Capital Region

After a brief January thaw to wrap up last week, Old Man Winter is ready to make his presence known this week.

Yes, a little winter reprieve was welcomed last week with a few days reaching the mid to high 40s, but we knew that was fool’s gold. The cold weather is back, and later this week, some snow will arrive to go with it.

Capital Region Forecast: Snow Arrives Thursday Night

According to the latest News Channel 13 First Warning Forecast, a fresh storm will arrive in the Capital Region on Wednesday afternoon, starting as rain as temperatures will be in the lower 40s. Overnight Thursday, a cold front will move through the area with rain changing to snow before dawn on Thursday morning. 1 to 3 inches of snow is expected for the morning commute.

Areas west and north of Albany, like Cobleskill and Saratoga Springs, will see the higher range of snow accumulation. Drier conditions will develop later Thursday, with temperatures in the 20s…
