HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear announced funding to enhance Kentucky’s riverports and increase economic opportunities to the tune of almost $2.3 million.
Over $500,000 of that is going to Henderson County and Owensboro.
Rep. James Comer obtains $1.75 million for Madisonville, Hopkins County upgrades
According to a release, the Henderson County Riverport Authority was awarded over $320,000 to replace a mobile conveyor system with a new electric material handler.
The Owensboro Riverport Authority won two awards totaling more than $200,000 to purchase a new yard tractor and a new forklift.
