NAPA, CA — JANUARY 9TH 2026
Detectives from the Special Enforcement Unit conducted a vehicle stop on December 31, 2025, involving a car departing the Napa Premium Outlets. Upon inspection, the vehicle was found to contain numerous store merchandise bags. Based on observations at the scene, detectives established probable cause to believe that fraudulent transactions had occurred. Investigators subsequently confirmed that at least one retail establishment had received counterfeit $100 bills during a transaction.
Two suspects, identified as residents of Vallejo, were taken into custody following the stop. In coordination with officers from the American Canyon Police Department, authorities determined that the individuals were renting a room at a hotel in American Canyon.
