An unidentified man crashed into a telephone pole and stopped in the front yard of a home Tuesday morning, Jan. 13.
Fire Chief James Bailey reported that an unidentified man in a white van was driving down The Great Road, just east of the intersection with Shawsheen Road, at about 10:45 a.m. when the sun’s glare caused momentary blindness. According to Bailey, he reached for the visor and accidentally veered off the road.
Bailey said the driver was uninjured and refused treatment. Police and fire department vehicles arrived on scene, and no one was allowed near the broken telephone pole.
