Will County Man Arrested for Allegedly Threatening Illinois Governor’s Office

A Will County man has been arrested following an investigation into a threatening email allegedly sent to the office of Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, according to Illinois State Police.

Authorities said Michael Dascenzo, 49, of Crete, was taken into custody on February 25 after investigators connected him to a message sent on January 9. The email allegedly contained threats directed at the governor’s office.

The Will County State’s Attorney’s Office has charged Dascenzo with one count of Threat to a Public Official, a Class 3 felony, and one count of Harassment by Electronic Communications, a Class 4 felony…
