Rockford police capture teen accused of car theft and armed robbery

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A Rockford teen has been accused of stealing a car at gunpoint and hitting a police squad car as he fled from arrest, eventually found hiding behind a home on Charles Street.

According to Rockford Police, Logan Whittington, 18, stole the vehicle during an armed robbery in the area of Pepper Drive and N. Alpine Road early Tuesday morning.
