OREGON, Ill. (WTVO) — The trial of Duane Meyer began in Ogle County court on Tuesday, with prosecutors alleging Meyer killed his ex-wife and son in a Byron house fire in 2016.
In opening statements before Judge John “Ben” Roe, prosecutors outlined their case that Meyer went to the home of Margaret Meyer, 31, and their 3-year-old son Amos, on October 18 and set the house on fire.
