SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Christ the King parents and supporters are pursuing an appeal to the Vatican’s Dicastery for Culture and Education in an effort to keep the Catholic elementary school in Sioux Falls from closing.
Bishop Donald DeGrood denied the group’s first appeal. Since the first closure announcement in September, parents, alumni and parishioners have combined efforts to keep the school open, organizing in a group called the CTK Strong Community.
