Two sentenced for drug trafficking in western NC

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WSPA) – Two people were sentenced to state prison after they pleaded guilty to drug trafficking charges.

According to the Buncombe County District Attorney’s Office, Daniel Alfaro and Jana Edge were sentenced to a minimum five years and seven years in prison.

Alfaro was arrested in 2023 by the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office and federal probation officers during a search of a camper Alfaro was living in. During the search, investigators said they found 28 grams of methamphetamines and 50 grams of fentanyl…
