CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — Potholes are a common problem on many Lowcountry streets, but for one driver, the damage went far beyond a bumpy ride.
A Charleston-area pothole damaged Ben Kong’s car so severely that his insurance company declared it a total loss. He believes he is likely not the only driver affected.
“I noticed this one pothole right here, so I was diligently trying to avoid that pothole,” Kong said. “But as I was making a slight left turn, my car hit another pothole. There were two of them.”…
