ALACHUA, Fla. (WCJB) — Residents along County Road 235 say heavy truck traffic continues to worsen on the two-lane road between Newberry and Alachua, creating mounting safety concerns in the residential area.
The concerns have grown since December 2024, when neighbors first called for “no truck” signs and reduced speed limits. Residents say growth and more trucks are using the road daily.
