Huntsville police arrest man on drug trafficking charges

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – A man is facing multiple charges, including drug trafficking, following a traffic stop in Huntsville.

Huntsville police said officers pulled over Corey King Jr. near Gulf Road just before 7 p.m. Monday while investigating complaints in the area. According to police, King had an active felony warrant.

During the stop, officers said they found an ounce of marijuana inside the car. The investigation then led police to a home, where they reported discovering an additional four pounds of marijuana and a firearm.

Police said King also attempted to provide false identifying information.

He has been charged with drug trafficking, obstructing justice by false identity, and unlawful possession of a pistol by a minor, drug addict, or habitual drunkard…
