Randy Jones of Guntersville has officially been sworn in as Alabama’s representative on the Tennessee Valley Authority Board of Directors, restoring quorum to the nine-member board and giving Alabama a renewed voice in the leadership of the nation’s largest public power utility.
Jones was among four new directors who took the oath of office this week, joining Board Chair Bill Renick and Directors Bobby Klein and Wade White. The additions end a months-long period in which the board lacked enough members to conduct full business.
Jones was nominated by President Donald Trump in July 2025 and confirmed by the U.S. Senate on Dec. 18, 2025. His term will run through May 18, 2028. Alabama has just one allocated seat on the TVA board…
