‘Cherished’ family ring recovered in Roseville, returned to owner

(FOX40.COM) — A ring described as a cherished family heirloom is back in the hands of its owners after a good Samaritan turned it in to Placer County officials.

On Wednesday, Jan. 7, Sam Dodd, a Colfax resident, found the ring at the Santucci Justice Center in Roseville between two parked cars after he “almost stepped on it,” his girlfriend, Dominica Stewart, told FOX40.

Dodd brought it home and showed Stewart, she said, who said its significance was apparent by its weight. They took it to a jeweler to have it appraised, who estimated it to be worth about $10,000, Stewart said…
