Man angered over CPS taking his children led to fatal stabbing of brother-in-law in Salina, investigators say

Salina, N.Y. — A man who fatally stabbed his brother-in-law accused him of being responsible for his children’s removal by child protective services, investigators said.

Taiwo Ogunsola, 38, of Salina, was stabbed multiple times in the neck with a kitchen knife Friday afternoon by Raoof Mustafa, 47, investigators said in a criminal complaint filed in court. Ogunsola is married to Mustafa’s sister.

Mustafa stabbed Ogunsola on the front porch of the home at 543 Sunflower Drive, according to Capt. Justin Bulak who is with the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office. The two men lived next to each other in the two-family home…
