WILMINGTON, DE — A late-night foot pursuit through a Wilmington neighborhood led to the arrest of a Philadelphia man who police allege was carrying a loaded firearm, according to authorities.
Members of the Wilmington Police Department’s Uniformed Services Division were patrolling the 1200 block of Read Street at approximately 10:44 p.m. on January 8 when they observed a man behaving in a manner they considered suspicious. As officers attempted to make contact, the individual ran from the area on foot, prompting a brief chase.
Police said the man, later identified as 23-year-old Marquan White of Philadelphia, was taken into custody a short time later without further incident. During the arrest, officers reported recovering a loaded revolver and additional ammunition that they allege were in White’s possession at the time…
