Defense, state ready to go to trial in Dee Warner murder case

LENAWEE COUNTY, Mich. — Dale Warner, the Lenawee County man accused of killing his wife, Dee, appeared in court Wednesday morning for his final pretrial hearing before his trial begins.

The hearing began at 10:50 a.m. in the Lenawee County Circuit Court, with Judge Michael Olsaver presiding over the hearing. During the hearing, Dale’s defense attorneys – Mary Chartier and Marisa Visnky – and the prosecutors – Jacqueline Wyse and David McCreedy – were all present in person. Olsaver began the hearing by establishing that some logistical issues had been discussed, voir dire questions had been resolved. He said there were a few issues regarding jury instructions, and both the defense and state were to be in contact with a person regarding that issue.

Olsaver also said there were some pending motions that would be addressed on Feb. 6. He then asked both the state and defense if there was anything that needed to be addressed before proceeding to trial…
