Sandwich fans have a new item to crave at Arby’s. While the Georgia-based chain knows a thing or two about Southern food, the latest addition to the menu gives a nod to our neighbors up north. Specifically, Chicago.
First things first, Southerners know a lot about sandwiches. The South is the home to genius inventions like po’boys, muffuletta, fried bologna sandwiches, tomato sandwiches, Kentucky hot browns, funeral sandwiches, mayonnaise sandwiches, and the pimento cheese sandwich from the Masters. Heck, the egg sandwich from the Masters, too.
However, while we firmly believe that the South has mastered the art of the sandwich, other folks have some creative ideas about what to put between two slices of bread, too.
