NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – A New Orleans defense attorney is allowed to keep practicing law and run for judge despite court records indicating the FBI is investigating a claim by a former client that she defrauded his family.
Court records filed last week provide the first indication that federal authorities are looking into lawyer Tanzanika Ruffin. She is accused of stealing at least $250,000 from defendant Kai Hansen and his family after representing him in a March battery case.
