The National Weather Service has issued a gale warning until 9 p.m. Wednesday. Additionally, the weather service noted the “rapid change in winter weather” that began early Wednesday morning for Northern Cook County.
The weather service put out a statement, advising commuters to be cautious.
“With temperatures starting above freezing and then quickly falling into the 20s with the snow, slick spots may develop on some roads. Motorists are advised to leave extra time to reach their destinations this morning and be prepared to encounter localized hazardous travel. Take it slow and keep a safe following distance when driving.”…
