Allegiant Sun Country merger may benefit Sioux Falls flyers

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Allegiant Airlines is combining with another airline. This means Sioux Falls travelers will have new options for domestic and international flights.

The airline merger could make flying out of Sioux Falls cheaper and smoother, having more routes and fewer layovers. Allegiant says it could help anyone on a budget.

For the younger generation, like myself and my friends, I think it will change the game. It will give college students more opportunities to travel, even high schoolers opportunities to travel. So I think it’s really important to have more affordable and easier ways to travel, especially while you’re young.” Sioux Falls resident Halle Miller said.

Both airlines combined will serve 22 million customers annually, reaching nearly 175 cities with more than 650 routes. For Miller, the change can help her to continue to support her dad’s coaching career…
