BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The McFarland Police Department is looking for a deputy chief of police, according to the McFarland City Council agenda for Wednesday.
The McFarland City Council suggested creating the deputy police chief position during a closed session meeting Dec. 10, according to the agenda.
The City Council wanted the future deputy police chief to serve as the second-in-command when the police chief is absent and strengthen strategies and operations within the department, according to the agenda.
