Man shot in foot in early-morning alley incident walks into hospital hours later

BALTIMORE, MD – A 55-year-old man who claimed he was shot in the foot during the early hours of Monday morning walked into a hospital nearly 16 hours later, prompting an investigation by Northwest District Shooting detectives.

Officers responded to the hospital at approximately 5:53 p.m. on January 12 after the man arrived seeking treatment for a gunshot wound. The victim told police he had been in the alley of the 4700 block of Litchfield Avenue around 1:30 a.m. when he heard gunfire and suddenly felt pain in his foot. He did not call police at the time and instead went home, later transporting himself to the hospital…
