Foster care review board facing critical vacancies in Midlands

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – The South Carolina Division of Foster Care Review is facing several vacancies that state employees say could impact critical resources for children in foster care.

State employees say the issue of empty foster care review board seats is long-standing. In Richland County, eight out of 20 seats are currently vacant. Nearby, Lexington County has four openings, and Newberry and Fairfield each have one.
