Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco, the man who wants to be California’s next governor, returns to Susanville at 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9 at Jensen Hall on the Lassen County Fairgrounds.
Bianco, a 30-year veteran of the sheriff’s office, currently serves as the chief law enforcement officer of Riverside County, overseeing the county’s five jail facilities, six court buildings, a civil bureau, the Coroner’s Bureau, Public Administrator’s Office, 12 patrol stations, 17 contract cities, 4,200 dedicated employees and an operating budget of just over $1 billion.
The Republican hopeful said he was giving up his perfect job in law enforcement to tackle a bigger and more important one — serving as the governor of California.
