SAGINAW, MI — In July, a Dearborn man visited a Frankenmuth waterpark-hotel to allegedly meet up with what he thought was a minor for sex. He ended up encountering members of a popular YouTube crew whose goal is to expose child abusers.
The man, Shah Hussain, is now charged with child sexually abusive activity, using a computer to commit a 20-year maximum crime, using a computer to commit a four-year maximum crime, and accosting children for immoral purposes. The first two charges are the most serious, both being 20-year felonies.
Hussain, 36, on Tuesday, Jan. 14, appeared for a preliminary examination in which two members of the YouTube organization detailed how they posed as an underage girl to lure in predators. Hussain’s attorney, though, criticized the witnesses’ enterprise, saying their actions amount to vigilantism and that they play a dangerous game…
