Medicaid approval opens new funding stream for Brigid’s Path

KETTERING, Ohio (WKEF) — Brigid’s Path is an organization that helps newborn babies and families who are impacted by addiction, and it will now have a new source to help with funding: Medicaid reimbursements.

Beginning this Sunday, Brigid’s Path is eligible to bill for Medicaid reimbursements, which has been something Founder and President Jill Kingston said they have been working towards for ten years.

“We had to amend the Social Security Act, allowing a pediatric recovery center to receive Medicaid, and so, that was a long process at the federal level,” said Kingston. “We worked with state Medicaid for Ohio to build out the program so that they could allow us to bill for Medicaid.”…
