Families, alumni, and community members are invited to tour the new Campus of Virginia Randolph during a grand opening celebration on Wednesday, January 14th, from 4 to 6 p.m. at 2204 Mountain Road in Glen Allen. The event will include guided tours highlighting new facilities as well as the site’s long educational legacy.
The campus is operated by Henrico County Public Schools and is named for Virginia Randolph, an influential educator who opened a one-room school for Black children in 1892. Randolph emphasized both academic instruction and practical skills, while working closely with families at a time when educational opportunities for Black students were severely limited.
