The Courtyard at Loves Park, a senior living community expected to open later this year, is hosting a series of events in January to provide information and support to older adults and their families.
The events include a Soup & Learn Series, a Soup-Off competition and community presentations, according to a community announcement.
Soup & Learn Series offers free lunch and expert advice
The Soup & Learn Series is scheduled to take place at noon on Fridays, Jan. 16, 23 and 30 at The Courtyard at Loves Park, 4502 McFarland Rd. The series features local professionals sharing valuable information for older adults and their families.
Sahara Home Care is expected to kick off the series on Jan. 16, followed by Helping Seniors Move on Jan. 23 and Heartland Hospice on Jan. 30.
Soup-Off competition set for Jan. 21
The Soup-Off is planned for 3 to 5 p.m. Jan. 21. Guests can sample soups from local restaurants and diners and vote for their favorite. Attendees can also enter to win a soup-themed raffle prize, see construction progress and development updates, review floor plans for independent living, assisted living and memory care, discover amenities designed for active senior living, and learn about exclusive Founders Club benefits.
Community presentations planned for Tuesdays and Thursdays
Jennifer LaPorte, director of sales and marketing at The Courtyard at Loves Park, is expected to lead community presentations at 11 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout January. The presentations will provide information about The Courtyard at Loves Park, answer questions and offer tours of the community.
Events aim to provide information and support to older adults and their families
“Families tell us all the time that they don’t know where to start when it comes to senior care, so we figured, why not bring the experts to them?” LaPorte said in the announcement. “Add in some good soup, and people relax a little. The Soup-Off on January 21 turns the whole thing into a friendly competition — local restaurants go head-to-head, guests pick their winner, and while they’re here, they can see exactly what we’re building. It’s a better way to learn about a community than reading a brochure.”…
