CTA Brown Line train hits car on Chicago’s Northwest Side

A CTA Brown Line train hit a car in Chicago’s Ravenswood Manor neighborhood.

The car sustained front-end damage in the crash, which happened at a grade-level Brown Line crossing along Manor Avenue between Leland and Eastwood avenues. The entrance to the Francisco station is at the junction of the north-south Francisco and the northwest-southeast diagonal Manor avenues.

Front-end damage was seen on the car. Investigators have not said what happened, but the lights and gates at the crossing were working when CBS News Chicago’s camera crew arrived…
