A look at three recently-opened coffee shops in Nob Hill

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) — Colder temperatures call for a warm beverage. And if you’re looking for something caffeinated, three coffee shops have opened their doors along Central Avenue in Nob Hill within the past few months.

Here’s a look at what those recently-opened cafes have to offer.

Daily Rituals

  • A cafe described as eco-friendly that offers classic coffee drinks like lattes, cappuccinos, and more. Various loose-leaf teas are also available, as well as matcha lattes and London fogs. There’s clothing, greeting cards, and other wares available for purchase.
    • 3409 Central Ave NE, Albuquerque, NM 87106
    • Open Sunday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Sukoon Coffee

  • A late-night, Arabic coffee house with Mofawar – a Middle Eastern-inspired drink with cardamom and milk, among other beverages. For those with a sweet tooth, the cafe is currently offering a tiramisu latte. There are also food items like Manakeesh, a Levantine dough pastry topped with cheese and/or meat, and Fatayer, a meat pie stuffed with spinach and/or cheese.. As for desserts, Sukoon’s menu lists honeycomb bread among other options.

    • Monday to Thursday: 7 a.m. to 12 a.m.
    • Friday to Sunday: 7 a.m. to 1 a.m.

Amalie Coffee

  • A cafe offering coffee drinks Karak tea – a spiced black tea typically found in the Middle East and India. Other offerings include matcha, Spanish lattes, and more. There’s a variety of pastries and the space can also be reserved for private events.

    • Open Sunday to Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Outside of the Nob Hill area, two other cafes have recently opened for business. Drop Cafe off Coors offers Yemeni coffee. Homebody on Louisiana is serving up matcha.
