BOISE, Idaho — Eastbound 1-84 will close the weekend of Jan. 16 between Garrity Boulevard and Ten Mile Road for the SH 16 system interchange.
The Idaho Department of Transportation (ITD) is building the first of two new flyover bridges above I-84. The closure means crews can install 16 girders for the first bridge. Cars cannot drive under that construction for safety reasons.
According to ITD, each girder weighs about 42,000 pounds and is about 117 feet long…
