Denver man convicted in Rapid City federal drug and gun case

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – A Denver man has been convicted on federal drug and firearm charges following a three-day jury trial in Rapid City.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office announced that Juan Sertuche, 43, was found guilty of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

Prosecutors say Sertuche led a drug distribution network from 2002 to September 2023, supplying hundreds of pounds of methamphetamine and tens of thousands of fentanyl pills to sub-distributors in the Rapid City and Pine Ridge areas…
