HENDERSON (KLAS) — Some neighbors said they’re frustrated about a fire that tore through 1-3 acres of land in the Whitney Mesa Recreational Park on Wednesday morning.

Henderson Fire Chief Scott Vivier said in a press conference that the Bureau of Land Management was called in to assist in removing dangerous brush during and after the fire. Lavancher said upkeeping the area should have been done long ago.
