SALEM, Ore. — Tyler Holman, a Salem man who murdered his ex-wife and tried to frame it as a car crash in 2024, was sentenced to life in prison on Wednesday.
Holman was sentenced to life in Oregon Department of Corrections custody; he is required to serve at least 25 years before being considered eligible for parole. He also must pay roughly $7,000 in restitution.
During the sentencing, Holman mostly looked at his hands or at the judge, only answering, “No, sir,” when asked if he wished to make a statement. Holman became visibly emotional after seeing a slideshow featuring photos of his 8-year-old daughter, whom Holman and the victim, 35-year-old Ashley Gandolfi, shared together.
