State Sen. London Lamar announced the launch of the Tennessee Affordability Tour, a statewide initiative aimed at highlighting the financial challenges facing working families and drawing attention to rising costs across the state.
The tour, sponsored by the Senate Democratic Caucus, will begin as lawmakers return to the Tennessee General Assembly for the 2026 legislative session. Stops are scheduled in Nashville on Jan. 22, followed by Chattanooga on Jan. 23, Knoxville on Jan. 24, and Memphis on Feb. 21.
According to organizers, the tour is designed to spotlight community organizations that provide support to families experiencing financial hardship and to elevate policy discussions around affordability at the state level.
