Cincinnati has experienced an unsettling start to the new year with a shooting at Government Square that took place on January 3, just as the hustle of post-holiday life was kicking into gear. According to a video released by Cincinnati police and reported by FOX19, following an argument on a Metro bus, 40-year-old Ronrico Hampton was seen tracking a person off the vehicle and engaging in a physical confrontation. The dispute escalated, with Hampton reportedly slapping the victim in the face and then firing a shot that struck the victim just outside the bus on East Fifth Street. Despite this harrowing event, the victim’s injuries were described as non-life-threatening, and they are expected to recover.
