HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – Good Thursday morning. Today is a 48 First Alert Weather Day for bitter cold wind chill values this morning and through much of the day.
We start off the morning with some occasional snow flurries over Middle Tennessee and portions of Northeast Alabama, no snowfall accumulation is expected. Please travel with caution as some isolated slick spots are possible on the roads this morning, mainly on bridges, overpasses and sheltered roads. Today brings plenty of sunshine through the morning and afternoon but high temperatures will only manage to warm into the low to middle 30s. Blustery northwest winds will gusts over 20 miles per hour at times keeping the feels-like temperature in the teens and 20s.
Skies remain clear overnight with lighter winds, Friday morning wind chills are cold in the teens and 20s. Friday is mostly sunny and warmer with highs approaching 50 degrees during the afternoon. We are tracking another cold front that will bring scattered rain showers and possibly even some sleet mixing in for Friday evening.
