San Leandro and Oakland Police Foil Armed Carjacking, Suspects Apprehended After Multi-Agency Manhunt

San Leandro Police Department officers apprehended three individuals yesterday following an attempted armed carjacking that briefly turned into a cat-and-mouse chase with the law. According to a report from the department, the incident took place near the intersection of Polvorosa Avenue and Doolittle Drive at approximately 2:30 PM, where the suspects, wielding handguns and rifles, failed to hijack a car after the intended victim managed to escape unscathed.
