WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — The Woonsocket mother of six detained at Boston Logan International Airport by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) back in November is still in custody, 12 News has learned.
Eva Helena Mendes, 48, was returning from a trip to her native Cape Verde when she was taken into custody. Mendes has since been transferred to a facility in Maine, according to her attorney Todd Pomerleau.
“She’s really been through hell and back,” Pomerleau said. “It’s unfortunate.”…
