Funding secured for projects across New York City, Long Island, Mohawk Valley and Southern Tier as new state revitalisation grants awarded

New York State has announced more than $463 million in funding for economic development, housing and infrastructure projects, with four regions selected as winners of a new $150 million competition designed to deliver large-scale regional transformation.

Governor Kathy Hochul confirmed that Long Island, the Mohawk Valley, New York City and the Southern Tier were chosen as inaugural winners of the Advancing Collaboration for High-impact Initiatives for Economic Visions & Expansion competition, known as ACHIEVE. The funding forms part of the State’s broader Regional Economic Development Council initiative.

The announcement also includes more than $313 million awarded to 381 projects statewide through the 2025 Regional Economic Development Council process, alongside the first-ever $100 million Pro-Housing Supply Fund aimed at tackling New York’s housing shortage…
