‘I’ve been crying all week’: Six days of no water or answers for The Sutton tenants

MADISON, Ala. (WHNT) — Surviving off of bottled water and community donations, tenants living at The Sutton in Madison have now gone six days without water on the property.

Longtime tenant Vincent Bridgeforth said enough is enough.

“We shouldn’t have to pay rent no more,” Bridgeforth told News 19. “It’s hard when you haven’t showered in a long time. And I’ve just been washing myself with adult wipes and bottled water.”

David Moore with Madison Utilities told News 19 that the water at the property is cut off because the property management company has not paid its bill. Moore added that Madison Utilities cannot get ahold of that company…
