A Des Moines woman was arrested early Tuesday in Perry after a traffic stop led to the alleged discovery of about an ounce of methamphetamine in her possession.
Roshonda Louise Walker, 45, of 3504 27th Pl., Des Moines, was charged with controlled substance violation, failure to affix drug stamp, first-offense possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine and possession of contraband in a correctional institution.
The incident began about 2:15 a.m. Tuesday on Center Street in Perry, where an officer of the Perry Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu “due to the license plate not being illuminated,” according to court records…
