ROCKFORD — The Irish Marching Society will mark 50 years of celebrating Irish pride with this year’s St. Patrick’s Day parade and Paddyfest.
The organization announced on Wednesday that Saturday, March 14 is the date for this year’s events. It’s the 50th anniversary of the parade.
The milestone celebration kicks off at 3 p.m. with the parade stepping off from Seventh Street and Fourth Avenue in Midtown. The parade route ends just outside of Prairie Street Brewing Co. at 200 Prairie St., which is where the Paddyfest after-party takes place…
